Der Author informiert einen gut über den Werdegang von Hugh. Man merkt aber auch, dass Hugh es nicht geschrieben hat. Teilweise verliert sich der Author zu sehr in den Details von seinen Erfolgen. Wenn ich das mit dem Buch von Bryan Cranston vergleiche (ich habe es direkt davor gelesen) dann gefällt mir das Buch von Bryan viel besser, weil man seine Seele spürt. Dieses habe ich nicht ganz zuende gelesen, weil es im letzten dritten etwas langweilig wird.
Die Biografie von Hugh Jackman gibt es bisher nur auf Englisch. Allerdings ist sie so einfach geschrieben, dass man sie problemlos lesen kann.Geburt und Werdegang von Hugh machen das erste Drittel der Biografie aus. Das ist sehr interessant. Danach geht es hauptsächlich noch um die Darstellung von Wolverine und einige andere Film- und Theaterprojekte.Im Buch finden sich einige Seiten mit hochwertigen Fotos aus den verschiedenen Lebensaltern von Hugh.
Nice, handsome man. Nice fotos. But the text bored me to sleep. It's not really a biography but more a filmographie. Can only be recommended for hard-core fans.
The writing style is pleasant but this reader's confidence was badly shaken when, in the first few pages, the author references the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony (which took place in December 2012) completely confusing it with the Grauman's Chinese theater ceremony which took place in 2009. If that major fact is wrong, what else is incorrect?Back to reading...
I rated this book 2 stars because this book recounts Jackman's films and shows but there is very little personal information. You can read Wikipedia on him and learn just as much as this book...don't get me wrong, Hugh Jackman is a great guy and I am a big fan. I just wish this book was more personal. I say save your money and just google him.
This is a great book about a wonderful man and his love of family. A diverse actor, singer and dancer who brings joy to the world.
If you're a Hugh Jackman fan, you'll love this book. Although most of it centers on his career as Wolverine, it does have many side jaunts into other great performances and productions he has done to date. The man is amazing, both on and off the performance platform. I read it in a single night.
I love this book about Hugh's life. It gives us an inside peek into his life. I would love to meet this man in person because he sounds too good to be true.
